Diocletian's Palace and Peristyle

Overlooking the port of Split, the 1700 years old palace is one of the most important architectural heritage of the Roman Empire, where you will spend a good part of the time during your stay in Split.
Cathedral of St. Duje
Sveti Duje is a symbol of the city of Split. He was the first bishop of Salona, and in his honor was built the magnificent Cathedral with 57-meter bell tower, built in the 13th century. It is one of the most famous landmarks of Split. If you are in good shape, I recommend you to climb to the top of the bell tower which offers a unique view of the entire city and the nearby islands.
Statue of Gregory of Nin
Be sure to visit the statue of Gregory of Nin, which is the work of famous Croatian sculptor Ivan Mestrovic. Everything happens near the statue, from summer festivals, New Year celebrations, sporting events, protests and strikes. Riva has been completely restored a few years ago. The bars along the waterfront are a popular gathering place for young people from Split before a night out on the Bacvice or in other parts of Split.
Marjan
Marjan is the most recognizable symbol of Split and is the green oasis of Split. On Marjan you can find the path to the viewpoint, nature paths, playgrounds and the Split ZOO. From Marjan you can enjoy a wonderful view of the old and new parts of Split, Imotski, Kastela Bay, Solin and Klis, Trogir and Ciovo, and the islands of Solta, Brac, Hvar and Vis. The rocks on the south side of Marjan have recently become a favorite place for training mountaineers and free climbers who gather at the traditional Cup of Marjan in April.
Bacvice

Bacvice are neighborhood in Split, as well as the name of the shallow, sandy bay, which has made this part of Split so well known. Bacvice Bay is about 600 meters long, with charming sandy parts.
